KAMAKOA at Waikoloa

is an exciting new community development initiated by the County of Hawaii and being developed by Waikoloa Workforce Housing (WWH), LLC. WWH is a non- profit organization established by the Hawaii Island Housing Trust for the planning, financing, development, and management of the KAMAKOA project.

WWH is assisted in the KAMAKOA development by UniDev Hawaii, LLC. UniDev has assisted numerous States, Counties, and universities in meeting their workforce housing needs though the development of exemplary communities.

The KAMAKOA project is aimed at providing a high-quality, affordable housing for those working the Waikoloa area in a well-planned and livable community environment. Up to 1,200 housing units are planned with a broad mix of for-sale and rental products and an abundance of community amenities and design features. Some of the key elements planned as part of the KAMAKOA community include:

Development of the KAMAKOA community is scheduled to start in early 2008. Home sales are planned to start in late 2008, with the first homes being available for occupancy in mid- 2009. Completion of the full development is expected to take 5-7 years.
